The Annual Meeting of Postgraduates in Hellenic or Roman Antiquities and Egyptology
17 - 19 July 2013
Welcome! Since its inception in 2007, AMPHORAE has established itself as Australia and New Zealand's major conference for postgraduates in the study of the ancient world, attracting delegates from across the region and around the globe to six highly successful events. The seventh conference will take place at the University of Sydney from 17 to 19 July 2013. AMPHORAE VII is open to postgraduate and honours students in all aspects of antiquity - whether your research is on history, literature, or archaeology, in the Egyptian, Greek, Roman or post-Roman worlds. This year, in keeping with our theme of 'New Directions', we are also inviting students of other types of ancient archaeology to offer papers for a special stream, which will include (but is by no means limited to) prehistoric Europe, the ancient Near East, the Bronze Age Mediterranean, and general prehistory.
The conference's official Call for Papers is available on the News & Updates page, which will also be home to regular updates as the conference gets closer. Updates will also be circulated via our Facebook group. If you have any enquiries, please post on the Facebook group or .
